Lyra Faye

Bio

Lyra is a lady blessed by the moon. She is one of the few older members of the Saviors having lost her family to the wars in Cei, she decided to join Baron and the Saviors, partly because of her deep admiration and love for him and partly to see the end of the wars across Aria. Yuri joined shortly after her and the two quickly became close friends. Lyra has had a difficult childhood, after seeing the war bring death, starvation and desperation to her own people, including her parents. Eventually they were killed not by opposing soldiers but by their own because they couldn’t feed them any longer, they traded their lives so that Lyra might live. After that moment she was a lonely child who grew up cold and hungry, but she was shown kindness by others and she always thought to carry that kindness forward and never become cold and bitter like the soldiers that raided their village that fateful night.

Lyra is tall and elegant with long flowing dark hair and grey eyes. She is much more mature than the other ladies at the Saviors but truthfully she is not one for doing much fighting. However, she was blessed by the moon at the time of her birth. It was full on the night that she was born and her grey eyes look like small reflections of the moon in the sky. Lyra always feels calm at nighttime and moonlit strolls are amongst her favorite pastimes.

Insights & Inspirations

The character of Lyra was based off depictions of the Goddess Artemis which is quite ironic as there is a character named Artemis in the story. But the Goddess of the Hunt and of the Moon was the one that inspired Lyra. But where the Goddess had sworn never to be in the company of men, Lyra’s drive comes from her great love for Baron and of the other men in the Saviors. She also admires Christian and feels warmly toward him. She will have a most important part to play in Aria’s future.
